Roma ISD board approves consent agenda, reports and enrollment figures

At its Dec. 17 meeting, the Roma ISD Board of Trustees approved a standard consent agenda covering previous meeting minutes, district bills, the November investment and financial update reports, transportation fuel usage comparisons, tax collection and fixed assets reports, and a preliminary student enrollment report.
President Ricardo A. Perez opened the meeting and "determined that a quorum was present," according to the minutes. Mrs. Mary Lou G. Cruz moved to approve the consent items and Mrs. Yadira A. Barrera seconded; the motion carried on the record. The minutes record a preliminary enrollment total of 5,918 students, presented by Manuel Garcia. The board noted an abstention reference tied to Karina Mascorro regarding a line item described as "Flower Baking," but the motion was recorded as carried.
