Rockdale ISD honors students and coaches for Kids Heart Challenge and athletic achievements

At the March 23 meeting Assistant Superintendent Tiffany Whitsel and staff recognized student fundraising and athletic accomplishments across the district. Whitsel reported elementary students raised $7,199.12 during the Kids Heart Challenge (16 students completed Finn’s mission) and intermediate students raised $8,488.77; she named the top earners at each campus and thanked coaches who led the efforts.
Whitsel also announced the Rockdale High School Golden Girls earned Outstanding Choreography at the Vista Ridge competition and recognized boys and girls basketball teams for district championships and multiple All‑District and All‑State honors. Senior wide receiver De’Andre Stephens was singled out for statewide recognition in multiple polls and named Region 3 Offensive MVP.
