Riviera ISD board approves termination of probationary employee and multiple contract offers
Summary
After executive session the board approved termination of probationary employee Lisa Wang effective end of the 2025–26 school year and approved offering non‑certified contracts and extending probationary/term contracts for certified staff and several administrators for 2026–27.
Following executive session the board returned to open session and approved a series of personnel actions. Trustees approved a motion to terminate the probationary contract of district employee Lisa Wang effective at the end of the 2025–26 school year and directed the board president and superintendent to provide notice in accordance with district policy DFAA (legal).
The board also approved the superintendent's recommendation to offer non-certified contracts for the 2026–27 school year for non-certified teachers, directors, coordinators and foremen, and approved extending probationary and term contracts for contractual certified teachers, the director of special programs/diagnostician and a counselor. Motions passed unanimously among trustees present.
