The board voted to accept Budget Amendment #5 for the 2025–2026 fiscal year, authorizing reallocation of funds within approved budget categories to address increased freight and supply-related costs and other operational needs. Ms. Moreno explained the amendment and the district's intent to remain within approved budget limits while moving funds between line items as necessary.
Ms. Moreno noted an operational need that may require renting a roll-off dumpster to assist with removal of materials from district property as part of ongoing cleanup and organization efforts across district facilities. "[We are] moving expenditures between line items to accommodate freight and supply-related costs while remaining within approved budget limits," Ms. Moreno said. The motion, made by Tracy Hubert Beadle and seconded by Crystal Ramirez-Garcia, passed 6–0 (Teresa May absent).
