Superintendent Ms. Dobson told the board that Riviera ISD will hold elementary summer school at Nanny Elementary for incoming third- and fourth-grade students and middle school summer school at Della Pies for incoming fifth through seventh graders. Secondary summer programs include EOC boot camps, credit recovery and attendance recovery, with secondary offerings continuing through late June.
Ms. Dobson reported preliminary EOC testing results to trustees: "Biology achieved a 100% passing rate," and eighth-grade Algebra I also showed a 100% passing rate with all 11 students passing. She said retesting will be required for a small group of students: four in English II, three in English I, one in U.S. History and two in high school Algebra I, and expressed confidence students will be prepared for the June EOC retesting window. Ms. Dobson also reminded trustees about the Summer Leadership Institute sessions and app-based schedules and upcoming networking and meal events.
