At the Sept. 24 meeting, the Riviera ISD Board approved by vote the nomination of Bill Colston Il to serve on the Kleberg County Appraisal District Board of Directors for the 2026–2027 term. The motion to submit his name for the ballot was moved by Becky Gutierrez and seconded by Michael Valenzuela; the resolution authorizes submission of the nomination to the chief appraiser by the Oct. 15, 2025 deadline.
The nomination was described as consistent with the district's May nomination; board members recorded no additional debate and approved the resolution 5–0 with one absence.
