Markham approves purchase-and-sale for 15828 S. Kedzie and adopts policy on sale of city-owned homes

On a unanimous roll-call vote (4–0), the Markham City Council approved Resolution 26-R-769 authorizing the execution of a purchase-and-sale agreement with GITSIT Real Property BBPLCI, LLC for the parcel at 15828 South Kedzie Avenue. The council immediately followed by adopting Resolution 26-R-770, which establishes a policy regarding the sale of city-owned residential property to the general public.
Both resolutions were moved and seconded by aldermen during the City Attorney’s report and passed without recorded opposition. The meeting minutes list the adopted documents by number (26-R-769 and 26-R-770) and specify the buyer entity in the purchase-and-sale resolution; the council provided no additional public debate at the meeting.
