Ricardo ISD board approves consent agenda including SPED addition payment and 2026–27 calendar

Other consent items included approval of Resolution 2026-03 regarding payment of wages during bad-weather school closures, adoption of the 2026–2027 district academic calendar, review of transportation memoranda of understanding with nearby districts (Riviera ISD, Kingsville ISD, Santa Gertrudis ISD, Kenedy County-Wide Consolidated ISD, Bishop ISD, and Banquete ISD), approval of high-school student transfer agreements for 2026–2027, and authorization for the superintendent to offer teaching contracts for vacancies occurring through the summer months.
The motion was recorded as made by Trustee Lance Hamm and seconded by Trustee Rosanna Arevalo. The consent vote formally cleared routine financial and operational items and authorized ongoing personnel recruitment authority for the superintendent.
