A second public commenter recounted details about a presidential proclamation designating Constitution Week and suggested the district distribute constitutions and host informational events; the speaker also asked how to obtain a full list of levies, their start dates and expiration dates. Board and staff members acknowledged the requests and said they would follow up.
Separately, the BEA representative provided a short update saying association members are finishing summer break and staff look forward to welcoming new hires and students in the coming days. Facilities staff said the facilities committee had canceled a recent meeting because of summer schedules and that a committee meeting is planned for Aug. 12; Damon said he will bring refined conceptual options to that committee.
