Council approves WesBanco accounts, extends job-application deadline to Jan. 1

At its Dec. 2 meeting the Lumberport Town Council approved establishment of one cash account and one credit-card account at WesBanco. The approval was recorded by motion (Micheal Stire moved; Richard Desist seconded; motion carried).
Council also voted to change the application deadline for town-hall employment from Dec. 18, 2024 to Jan. 1, 2025. Thomas Exline moved to accept the change; Micheal Stire seconded and the motion carried. Separately, the council asked its lawyer to draft an ordinance to stagger council terms so seat turnover is phased; no ordinance language was presented or adopted at the meeting.
