On Aug. 11 the Royal ISD board adopted changes to employee pay plans for the 2025-26 school year.
The board approved a 4% raise from mid-point for auxiliary, clerical and paraprofessional employees who returned after the 2024-25 school year; the board recorded an estimated total cost of $227,929. Trustees also adopted a 2% raise from mid-point for administrative and professional employees who returned after the 2024-25 school year, with an estimated total cost of $129,577. Both motions passed on recorded roll-call votes.
