The Ropes Independent School District Board voted Feb. 9 to order a general election on May 2, 2026, to fill two at-large trustee positions and approved related election logistics including early voting notices, a joint election with the City of Ropesville, and a joint election agreement.
Trustees then approved the appointment of Jody Rose as Elections Administrator and as Early Voting Clerk for the May 2 election. Each election-related motion carried with six trustees voting yea and one absence recorded.
