RFISD board approves up to $500,000 for middle school access control

Operations staff presented the recommendation and trustees debated procedural oversight and funding source before the vote. Trustee Logan Burton moved the motion and Nikki Yarnall seconded; the motion "duly put and carried" with a recorded vote of 6–0 in favor. The district will proceed with procurement under the stated limits and next steps include scheduling installation and procurement oversight through bond project staff.
The board recorded the vote as: Kenny Cruzan, Michaela Alston, Bonni Randall, Logan Burton, Jack Vogel and Nikki Yarnall in favor; Eli Ramos was not present.
