Save the Children to donate books and coats; Riviera ISD elementary staff push for 100% grade success

At the Oct. 15 meeting, Ms. Tot Albro told the board that three elementary students had not yet met grade requirements and that the campus had notified parents as part of efforts to reach full grade-level success. She reported that Save the Children is providing literacy support and will donate up to 16 pallets of books, coats and clothing to the district.
Albro also noted ongoing Bluebonnet reading and math initiatives, teacher certification activity (two teachers preparing for certification exams) and planned field trips, including The Hip-Hop Nutcracker and visits to the Goliad Missions for grades 3–5.
