Board approves TASB Update 126 LOCAL policy changes; retains Policy CV threshold

The Board approved the recommended changes and explicitly noted that Policy CV (LOCAL) will remain at a $50,000 threshold.
The minutes further state the District "will continue to provide and implement its grievance procedures under Board Policies DGBA (LOCAL), FNG (LOCAL), and GF (LOCAL) as determined by the RISD Board of Trustees and will exempt itself from any further requirements prescribed via 26A of the Texas Education Code or Texas Education Code 26.011(a);(c)." The motion to adopt the Update 126 LOCAL policy changes carried with a recorded vote of 7 yes, 0 no.
