The Rusk ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved the consent agenda at its April 13 meeting, a package that included the March 16 minutes, a review of monthly expenditures, approval of a new district crest designed by Rusk Elementary teacher Robin Sunday, and Certification of Provisions of Instructional Materials (TEKS Certification) for 2026–2027.
Superintendent Dr. Mid Johnson presented the consent agenda and Nathan Acker moved to approve; Dr. Montie Sunday seconded. The motion carried 7–0, per the meeting record. The crest was presented to the board as a staff-designed emblem and accepted as district branding per the consent motion.
