Royal ISD authorizes RFP for after‑school childcare provider

In discussion, Trustee Rose Jones asked whether the current contract would be extended. "Dr. Pape responded that the current contract was not automatically extended and that the organization had been notified of the Districts intention to go out for RFQ," the minutes state. Trustees also discussed whether the district could rely on a month‑to‑month arrangement until a new vendor is selected and directed staff to contact the existing provider about interim coverage.
