Round Top-Carmine ISD trustees approve routine business, select auditor and greenlight facilities work

The Round Top-Carmine ISD Board of Trustees met April 20, 2026, and approved a series of routine motions, including the consent agenda and selections for district contracts and facilities work. President Michael Sacks called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. and led the pledges.
"A motion was made by Dusty Bernshausen and seconded by Jason Wagner to approve all consent agenda items which were as follows: minutes of the previous meeting, elementary and secondary campus reports and Superintendent reports. Motion carried," minutes state. During the meeting the board reviewed accounts payable for March 2026 but took no action on that item.
The board voted to approve a pre-bond development agreement with Region 13 and selected Singleton, Clark, and Company to conduct the 2026–2027 district audit. Trustees also approved purchasing an ATV for maintenance and authorized construction of parking-lot lights and completion of the gym parking lot for the amount presented. The board entered closed session at 6:50 p.m. and returned at 7:33 p.m., after which it approved multiple staff contracts for 2026–2027. The meeting was adjourned at 7:34 p.m.
