In the TAPR presentation, district staff reviewed statutory requirements for reporting violent and criminal incidents under TEC 39.053 and described the district's prevention and response measures. Administration named local policies (CK Legal/Local), Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS), Character Strong at all campuses, guidance and counseling services focused on bullying prevention, gang awareness and substance misuse, and a Resiliency Center providing family supports.
Staff also said the Raymondville I.S.D. Police Department maintains a visible campus presence and that a Police Chief and five commissioned officers are assigned to support campus safety. Trustees received the safety overview as part of the TAPR presentation; no safety incidents were discussed during the hearing.
