The Darlington Community School District board unanimously elected new officers during a special organizational meeting on May 13, 2026. Superintendent Cale Jackson called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m., and the board moved quickly through officer elections.
Motion by Nick Zuberbuhler, seconded by Stauffacher, nominated Bob Hermanson as board president; nominations were closed and a unanimous ballot was cast for Hermanson. Stauffacher then moved, seconded by Crist, to nominate Nick Zuberbuhler as vice president; that nomination also closed to a unanimous ballot. Separately, Hermanson moved, seconded by Stauffacher, to nominate Stacy Gratz as board clerk, and Stauffacher moved, seconded by Zuberbuhler, to nominate Jeff Riechers as board treasurer. All motions "carried" as recorded in the minutes.
The actions formalize leadership for the coming term after the board verified that newly elected members had been sworn in. The meeting record shows the session convened at 5:00 p.m. and adjourned at 5:09 p.m.
