Whitney ISD trustees approve several property bids, including White Bluff lot for $14,500

The Whitney Independent School District Board of Trustees unanimously approved several property sales at its Oct. 6 meeting. Trustee Jason Sneed moved to approve the sale of White Bluff lot #81 in Subdivision No. 38 to A Fox House LLC for $14,500; Trustee Ray Watson seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Trustees also approved the sale of Live Oak addition Lots 221, 222 and 243 to Roberto Damian for $7,000 and a group of White Bluff and WB lots (Nos. 34, 35, 36, 38, 39, 49, 50 and WB Lots 23 & 24) to Chris Calvery for $12,366.82. During the same agenda item a late-read property bid for White Bluff lot #37 in Subdivision 34 to David Ortiz for $6,070 was moved by Trustee Ray Watson, seconded by Trustee Raygenna Heath and unanimously approved. The board did not record dissenting votes on any of the motions.
Board president Charles Buzan signed the meeting record following the actions. The agenda item listing included the lot numbers and purchaser names but did not specify use of proceeds or how the district plans to allocate the funds; that information was not specified in the open-session record.
