Royse City ISD board approves consent agenda, personnel hires and superintendent contract

Trustee Amanda Self moved to accept the new hires — Brandon Higelin (RCHS), Patricia Bowen (Herndon) and Stephanie Williams (Arnold) — and Trustee Cindi Jobe seconded the motion. That motion passed 5-0. Trustee Jessica Ratterree next moved to approve resignations for six employees; Trustee Eric Fort seconded, and the motion passed 5-0.
The board also completed the superintendent's personnel actions. Trustee Cindi Jobe moved to approve the superintendent's annual appraisal; Amanda Self seconded and the motion passed unanimously with five votes. Trustee Jessica Ratterree then moved to approve the superintendent's contract, with Mike Anderson seconding; that motion likewise passed 5-0. After the votes, Trustee Mike Anderson offered praise for district staff and leadership: "We appreciate you," he said.
The votes and motions recorded the five trustees present voting in favor and listed two trustees as absent. No amendments to the motions were recorded during the open meeting.
