Hires included Elida DeLa Torre-Alcaraz (custodian), Marina Hadderton (elementary teacher), Destinie Malish (newly certified teacher), and Willie Boyd (teacher/coach), among others. Resignations and non-returning at-will staff were also listed.
The board approved employment of Makayla Cooper as a BMSS Special Education Coordinator on a one-year probationary contract after a motion by Karen Laughlin, seconded by Amy Casas; the motion carried 6 For, 0 Against. Multiple continuing assignments under district permits and emergency permits for teaching staff were also recorded in the minutes.
