Rockdale ISD honors CTE and FFA winners and students earning CNA certification
Summary
Board members recognized students who placed at SkillsUSA and FFA contests and several students who earned Certified Nurse Assistant credentials following written and hands-on exams; advisors and sponsors were acknowledged.
District leadership recognized a range of career and technical education achievements at the May 18 meeting. SkillsUSA competitors earned State Superior and State Excellence distinctions in categories including Computer Maintenance and Digital Illustration; advisor Glenda Walker was thanked for coaching students to state-level competition.
Rockdale FFA teams advanced from Area 12 to state competitions in Forages (1st place) and Meats (3rd place), and several students completed Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification—each involving a written exam and a roughly 90-minute clinical skills evaluation administered by a state nurse examiner. Staff and sponsors for these programs were specifically credited for their support.
