Rockdale ISD honors student-athletes; De’Andre Stephens wins 3A state high jump title

The board recognized multiple athletic teams and individual student-athletes for seasonal successes, including a 16-12 baseball season, district and area placings in track and field, and De’Andre Stephens’ 2026 UIL 3A state championship in high jump.
At its May 18 meeting the Rockdale ISD Board recognized a string of athletic accomplishments across the district. The Tiger Baseball team finished 16-12, placed fourth in their district and advanced to the Bi-District Final. Coaches Austin Caffey, Pearce Loth, and Ford Moore were acknowledged and Brody Willard received 2nd Team THSCA Academic All-State honors.
Track and field athletes—both girls and boys—were also honored; multiple individuals advanced to area and regional competitions, and De’Andre Stephens was singled out for winning the 2026 3A State Championship in the high jump. The board also recognized the high school softball and golf programs for athletic and academic honors.
