SAN ISIDRO, Texas — The San Isidro ISD Board of Trustees voted Feb. 25 to approve the district's 2025 Annual Financial Audit after a presentation from the district auditor.
Mr. Hernandez, the district's auditor, told trustees that "the auditor's opinion was unmodified." He reported the district ended the fiscal year with an approximate fund balance of $3.1 million and cash and cash equivalents of about $2.49 million, and noted that overall expenditures were below the district's adopted budget.
Trustee Aisha Reyes moved to approve the audit; Trustee Ricardo Vela seconded. The motion passed 6-0 with one absence (Albino Alaniz Jr.). Trustees asked questions about the district's long-term fiscal outlook during the presentation; the auditor characterized the district's fund balance as financially strong.
The approval completes the board's review of the annual financial statements for the fiscal year 2025 and records the board's acceptance of the auditor's unmodified opinion.
