SGISD approves salary increases, rescinds one contract and hires two teachers for 2025–26

On July 21 the Santa Gertrudis ISD Board approved the district's 2025–2026 salary schedules and salary increases for support staff and administrators.
The motion to adopt the salary schedules was made by Francis Regalado and seconded by Carmen Falcon and passed unanimously. Later in the meeting President Oscar Cortez moved to rescind a contract offered in May 2025 to Ashley Perez and to hire Mrs. Trejo and Mr. Calaway as teachers for the 2025'026 school year; Francis Regalado seconded and the motion passed 5in favor.
