In a separate recorded action the board voted unanimously to extend the superintendent's contract by one year and to approve amendments to the contract as presented in executive session. "I move to extend the Superintendent's contract by one year and approve the amendments to the Superintendent's contract as presented in executive session," the minutes record; that motion was also made by Eric Davenport and seconded by James Grassmuck, and carried 7–0. The minutes do not include the contract's amended terms in open session notes.
