The council approved bid SSDash24Dash26 for 2026 various municipal roof replacements, awarding the work to Bone Dry Commercial Roofing. Public commenter Charles Miller criticized the contract as funneling local taxpayer funds to an out‑of‑state firm and questioned whether local contractors were considered. Public Works director Vicki Nemechek said the contractor has been vetted and is licensed in Wyoming.
During public comment Charles Miller argued the administration was ‘‘funneling over a $250,000 out of state to a corporate vendor headquartered in Fort Collins, Colorado’’ and pressed the council on procurement practices. Nemechek responded on the record: “This contractor has been vetted and is licensed in this in Wyoming.” Council approved the bid with Mister Moody voting no.
