The Scurry-Rosser ISD Board of Trustees adopted an Order Calling a Refunding Bond Election at the Jan. 12 meeting, authorizing an election to consider refunding bonds in an amount not to exceed $3,800,000 to be held on May 2, 2026. Trustee Bobby Bridges moved to adopt the order; Trustee Drew Sloan seconded. The motion passed unanimously (7–0).
The motion was recorded verbatim in the minutes: "I move that the Board of Trustees adopt the Order Calling Refunding Bond Election, as presented." The board took no other action on the bond item at the meeting beyond adopting the order to place the question on the ballot.
