Jennifer Henna Hoss, who identified herself as chief clinical officer at the Scribe Center of Comal County, accepted the proclamation and provided 2024 service statistics: the center supported 944 clients, including 58 survivors who received sexual-assault nurse exams and 93 who engaged in trauma-informed counseling; the center answered over 1,000 hotline calls and provided more than 24,000 individualized services — roughly double the volume from 2023. Hoss said a new shelter is scheduled to open in early 2026 and invited interested residents to visit crisiscentermb.org for resources and tickets to the center’s April 24 gala.
The court voted to approve the proclamation by voice vote.
