Elementary menus smaller, intermediate students get wider entree choices, district says

Clear Creek ISD said elementary students have three breakfast and three lunch entree choices daily while intermediate students have five breakfast and nine lunch entrees, with menus that rotate and reflect student preferences.
Child Nutrition staff described how daily menu choices differ by grade level and rotate to reflect student preferences. "At elementary, there are 3 breakfast entrees and 3 lunch entrees every day," the Child Nutrition representative said. "Intermediate students get 5 breakfast entrees and 9 lunch entrees every day."
Staff listed examples of entrees at intermediate campuses — pizza, nachos, chicken sandwich, shaker salads with crispy chicken bites and orange chicken with rice — and pointed parents to SchoolCafe for the full rotating menu, nutrition facts and allergen details.
