Parks & Rec ends camera contractor, readies summer programs and grant bids

Parks & Rec leaders told council that 24 children are registered for summer camp and staff are now collecting payments at registration. The department noted Suds and Songs volunteer and participant meeting set for May 20 at Vulcan Field and a Food Truck Fri slated for May 16.
On equipment and contracts, Parks & Rec said the CIA contract for park cameras is paid through the end of May and a certified letter was sent to terminate the contract; Advantage has provided a quote to replace the cameras. Staff also reported multiple grants are in progress and that bids for garage and roof repair have been requested. The Greenways item will be added to next week's agenda for a council vote.
