“A motion was made by Daina Woffored and seconded by Philip Colvin to schedule Friday, August 29 at 5:30 pm as the date for the Public Meeting to Discuss Budget and Proposed Tax Rate for 2025-2026 and propose a tax rate of $0.7552 M&O, $0.322 I&S for a total proposed rate of $1.0774 to be published in the notice,” the minutes record. (The Board roster lists the member as Daina Wofford.) The motion carried 7‑0.
Administration had previously presented an updated overview of revenue and expenditures for 2025–26, noting a significant increase in personnel costs compared with the prior year “due to HB‑2 mandatory salary increases along with local discretionary raises.” District staff said they intend to bring a balanced or near‑balanced budget to the Aug. 29 meeting.
