Villarreal and the project slides noted specific items still underway: west-side site regrading to ensure positive drainage away from the building, repair of a section of roof where small water leaks were observed along an east hallway, replacement of exterior round steel columns with 4"x4" square columns, and pending delivery of the Main Distribution Panel (MDP) scheduled to arrive March 16, 2025. The project summary lists construction cost at $2,842,564.07 and shows an adjusted contract completion date of May 12, 2025 in case of added work, while the weekly schedule indicates a March 12, 2025 projected completion for on-time delivery.
District staff also presented related construction items across other campuses: repair work at La Fuente locker rooms (TPO roof system, fascia/soffit finishing), Chepe Gym storm-drain installation that required removal of three previously unseen concrete footings, and proposals for concrete slab/retention work (8/A Builders LLC listed concrete placement cost at $12,500 and an inground box with steel cover at $3,200). Staff flagged these as unforeseeable items that have been incorporated into ongoing punch-list coordination.
