San Isidro ISD holds public hearing on ESSA funding plan for 2026–27

Superintendent Elsa Morris told trustees at a May 20 public hearing that San Isidro ISD intends to apply for federal ESSA funding for the 2026–27 school year, including Title I, Part A; Title II, Part A; Title III, Part A; and Title IV, Part A. Board President David Garza opened and closed the hearing; no members of the public spoke in the hearing and it was adjourned at 6:40 p.m.
Morris reviewed the purposes, proposed allocations and allowable uses for each funding source and answered trustees’ clarifying questions. The hearing served as the district’s official publication notification for ESSA funds; trustees did not take additional action at the hearing itself.
