The Shreveport City Council approved a slate of executive appointments, authorized several cooperative agreements and accepted public dedications during the meeting. Councilman Green moved approval of the executive appointments (Metropolitan Planning Commission; Historic Preservation Commission appointee April Dom, among others); the motion was seconded and the appointments passed by recorded vote.
On resolutions involving mineral interests and requests to the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources, the council took mixed action: Resolution 66 (request to seek public bids for an oil, gas and mineral lease in District A) was moved to postpone and the motion passed. Resolution 67 (similar request for District G) was withdrawn at the meeting. Other resolutions authorizing cooperative endeavor agreements (Resolutions 68–70) and accepting public dedications for subdivisions (Resolutions 71, 72) were moved and passed.
Several ordinances were introduced for future consideration (Ordinances 73–76 amending budgets and authorizing sales/solicitations), and ordinances on second reading (Ordinances 70 and 71) were declared passed while Ordinance 72 was postponed. Clerk and staff recorded vote tallies for passed items during the meeting.
