Slaton ISD board approves contract renewals and certifies TEKS compliance for 2026–27

Kara Newcomb moved to approve both the contract renewals and the Allotment & TEKS certification; motions to approve carried by recorded votes of 4–0.
Board President Carlos Bentancourt also reminded trustees that his annual report on members' continuing education hours is available on the district website. The minutes list the approvals but do not include detailed contract terms or individual employee names.
