The Slaton Independent School District Board unanimously approved the consent agenda and accepted the May 2, 2026 District 3 trustee election results during its May 12 meeting. Art Martin presented the district’s financial reports for March and April 2026 as part of the consent items.
Carlos Bentancourt read the District 3 tally included in the packet: Irma L. Jaramillo 40 votes (33.06%), Alexander Tarin 46 votes (38.02%), and Luis Garcia 35 votes (28.93%). A motion by Kara Newcomb, seconded by Greg Schilling, approved the consent agenda and accepted the results as valid; the motion carried 6‑0.
