The board accepted resignations submitted to the superintendent for multiple employees: Veronica Casanova (Welder Elementary librarian), Stacy Nedbalek (Transportation), Candelario Rivera (Sinton High School teacher/coach), Ivan Sierra (Smith Middle School custodian) and Adriana Wilson (Welder Elementary paraprofessional). Acceptance of these resignations was recorded as part of the consent agenda, which passed unanimously, 7-0.
The board also recognized Students of the Month from each campus: Welder Elementary (Aleen Lopez & Scout Box), Sinton Elementary (Ava Gomez & Bayne Alaniz), Smith Middle School (Hannah Crawford & Brayden Palomo-Martinez), and Sinton High School (Arianna Hernandez & Salomon Vasilakopoulos). "Pirate of the Month" was awarded to Officer Susan Yado. During public comment Mr. Charlie Suarez addressed the board "on the Duties & Responsibilities of District Administrators," according to the minutes; the record shows no board response or formal action tied to that comment.
