Superintendent Shelli Conkin reported total district enrollment of 1,298 students as of Jan. 30 and provided campus-level counts (Stephen F. Austin 221; Cathelene Thomas 451; Jr. High 268; High School 358). Assistant athletic leaders and Coach Conkin reviewed spring-sports activities: Tigerettes basketball season ended, Tigers basketball playoff game scheduled vs. Coahoma in Lamesa, powerlifting is headed to regionals and both baseball and softball are active.
Director of Operations Mike Hernandez told trustees that snow in the last week of January caused some leaks; newer leaks are under warranty. Maintenance is coordinating gate repairs at SFA with electrician Bobby Barrera. Chief Williams reported no new safety items at this meeting.
