The Slaton Independent School District reported total enrollment of 1,303 students as of Nov. 30, 2025, Superintendent Shelli Conkin told the board at its Dec. 11 meeting. Conkin provided campus breakdowns: Stephen F. Austin — 221; Cathelene Thomas Elementary — 453; Jr. High — 268; High School — 361.
Conkin presented the figures as part of routine administrative reports; the board did not debate or change staffing or boundary matters during the meeting. Trustees were reminded the next regular board meeting is set for Jan. 15, 2026.
