Superintendent Shelli Conkin presented a Texas A&M Agrilife Extension resolution to formally sanction 4‑H as an extracurricular activity and requested approval of an Adjunct Faculty Agreement with Lubbock County Extension staff. The intent is to allow Slaton ISD students participating in approved 4‑H events to be counted "in attendance."
Trustee Emily Hargrave moved to approve the resolution and the adjunct agreement; Trustee Jaime Diaz seconded. The board approved both items unanimously (5–0). The minutes do not include the text of the resolution or specifics of the adjunct agreement; administration will retain those documents.
