Engineer Jeff Shue told the council "The funding for Fairmont Park was approved but is currently waiting for execution due to the 2023 audit report being completed." He asked that the council accept an additional one-year warranty from the contractor on the W. Broadway retaining wall because hairline cracks have been observed and recommended approving payment less a 5% retainage until the issue is resolved.
Shue said he is pursuing permits for Franklin and Country Club storm sewer improvements with construction hoped for summer 2026 to avoid school traffic; Dennis Klinedinst called the project "very costly." Shue noted Country Club is a state road while the borough is responsible for the storm sewer and said he is searching for grant alternatives because one grant mechanism uses ECMS. He also requested creating a written ADA ramp policy to align street improvements with accessibility requirements.
