The meeting record shows the district's public‑comment procedures were read aloud: speakers must sign up by emailing public-comments@srtx.org on Dec. 18 between 8:00 and 11:00 a.m., and each speaker is allotted three minutes under Board Policy BED(local).
Rangel's remarks appeared during the open‑meeting public‑comment agenda item; the board did not respond during that portion of the meeting. "...we want the best for SRISD," Rangel said in urging careful vetting.
