Council grants multiple new private livery licenses, licenses to expire June 30, 2026

The City Council granted a set of new private livery licenses for individual operators and small companies operating in New Bedford. Committee recommendations covered applicants including Glenda Reyes Transportation LLC, Rafaela's Transportation, Magic Wheels Transportation LLC, Miss D's Transportation, Cabrera Aguilar, Fonencio Transportation and Veil Transportation; the licenses were approved under committee recommendation and will expire June 30, 2026.
Councilors moved to receive and place on file the committee reports and to grant the licenses en masse. There was no recorded opposition in the hearing and the motion to grant the licenses passed by voice vote.
