Comal County commissioners approved a line‑item transfer of approximately $60,000 to complete installation of the final three high water warning systems that are part of a multi‑site river project.
Staff said all but a River Road crossing between the second and third FM 311 crossings and a new Nichols Landing site have been installed; the county is still working with TxDOT to obtain access at FM 311. "Once that's obtained, we'll be able to finish the project and finalize the entire high water warning system along the river," staff told the court. The original project cost was cited at about $1,900,000 and the incremental transfer requested was about $60,000 to finalize installations.
Commissioners approved the line‑item transfer on motion.
