Trustees approve bus routes, Boys & Girls Club MOU and multiple personnel items

The Minidoka County Joint School District board approved several operational items on Aug. 19, including bus safety routes and an MOU with the Boys & Girls Club, and accepted a comprehensive personnel slate for 2024–25.
Superintendent Larsen answered trustee questions about transportation and said routes may be adjusted after registration; the board directed staff to check with transportation about posting routes online. The board approved the Boys & Girls Club MOU after asking for a transportation-cost estimate. The personnel packet included certified transfers and new hires (examples: Laree Cook transfer; April Diaz, migrant preschool teacher; Whitney Ward, ELA teacher), classified hires (bus drivers, cooks, custodians), coaching and activity appointments, as well as resignations and retirements. The board noted recommendations remain subject to receipt of state-mandated paperwork.
