Comal County approved an ACH payment of $272,387.08 to the U.S. Department of the Treasury to reconcile unobligated funds from the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (ARPA) program.
Miss Valadez explained that the county had until Dec. 31, 2024, to obligate ARPA funds and that amounts not obligated by that date must be returned. "Any funds that were not obligated as of that date do need to be returned, and this is our request for that," she told the court.
Commissioner Webb moved to approve the payment and Commissioner Crownover seconded; the motion carried on a voice vote.
