The board convened in closed session at 7:18 p.m. under Texas Government Code sections 551.074, 551.071, 551.076, 551.089, 551.082 and 551.0821 for personnel and legal consultations. Upon reconvening at 8:13 p.m., trustees approved the Superintendent's recommendations on personnel and administrators that had been discussed in closed session. "Mrs. Sudolcan moved to approve the Superintendent's recommendations on personnel and administrator employment, resignations, reassignments, leaves of absence, contract renewals as discussed in closed session. Mr. Sullivan seconded the motion. All members voted in favor; the motion carried," the minutes state.
On the matter of Level Three parent grievances, the minutes record that no action was taken. The board also approved, by unanimous motion, the Superintendent and the school's attorney recommendation to proceed as discussed regarding a possible settlement before a Special Education Hearing Officer and directed the Superintendent and attorney to proceed.
